How Do I Spend My Day in Bimini?

Bimini is absolutely gorgeous, and when we visited while cruising with Carnival Liberty, I wanted to see if there was anything to do without booking an excursion.

In this post, I will share with you things you can do at the Bimini cruise port without an excursion.

A short walk from the port, you can enjoy the amenities the Hilton Resorts World has to offer.

If you are considering staying in Bimini, the Hilton Resorts World hotel offers a luxurious, comfortable experience, but you don't have to stay here to enjoy this beautiful hotel.

When visiting on your port day you can do the following at Resorts World hotel:

• Play in their casino

• Enjoy various dining options

• Bars overlooking gorgeous pools and the marina

You can enjoy the pool area with the purchase of a shore excursion.

You can rent a golf cart for approximately $100 a day and explore the island. The golf carts are just past the port and before Resorts World.

Riding around on golf carts is the main point of transportation on the island, so why not rent a golf cart and explore the island to see what you want to see?

Bimini cruise port area is conveniently located within walking distance of the ship, making it easily accessible for cruise passengers.

When visiting Bimini, I wanted to see what we could do around the Bimini cruise port without an excursion.

Is there Free Beach Access in Bimini?

Yes, there is! Located at the end of the pier, steps from the cruise ship, you will find a free beach waiting for you. There are umbrellas, lounge chairs, and cabanas you can rent for the afternoon, and have a bite to eat with several food trucks available.

With the gorgeous crystalline waters, how can you not enjoy this peace of paradise, especially since it is free?

Many beaches in Bimini are free, but I love this beach because it is right there at the cruise ship. You can stay as a little longer since it won't take you long to get back to the cruise ship.

As of summer 2024, these were the rental costs.

• One chair and umbrella $45

• Two chairs and umbrella $60

• Cabana $200

You can choose to do what we did and have lunch on the ship, bring you a towel and relax at the beach with no money spent.

Although it is not a far walk to the beach, you can take a shuttle if you choose. The shuttle will pick up right outside the ship area and will take you down the pier to these places:

• The Beach

• Port Shopping Area

• Hilton Resorts World Hotel

• Bimini Beach (Shore Excursions)

If you want to book an excursion while visiting Bimini, there are lots of options. While we have enjoyed jet skiing at Kayak Beach and Bimini Beach, there are other options to choose from as well to enjoy.
